About KPN

Kent Psychotherapist Network

Kent Psychotherapy Network (KPN) was established in 2017 with a focus on supporting psychodynamic and psychoanalytic practice in Kent. The network originally consisted mainly of UKCP psychoanalytic psychotherapists who had trained at Kent University and were members of a United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) members organisation called Canterbury Consortium of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapists (CCOPPP).

KPN meet regularly at different venues around Kent to share psychoanalytic thinking and support members in practice. Membership is open to any psychotherapist or counsellor practising psychoanalytically or interested in developing their practice in this way.

Each meeting provides an opportunity to discuss a particular subject of interest and in so doing become familiar with other practitioners’ views. KPN helps build a resource in Kent for therapists to make referrals of clients/ patients to other therapists and access Supervision of their work locally in Kent.

From time to time we host certificated CPD events.
